Meet Archana Khosla: Founder and Director of Petals Kids

Archana Khosla started Petals Kids with a clear conviction: the early years deserve serious thinking, careful design and warm-hearted execution. Two decades into the work, that conviction has shaped a network of 10 centres across Pune and PCMC and thousands of children whose first years of learning happened in her classrooms.

What She Does Day to Day

  1. Curriculum Design and Updates

Archana leads the Petals Kids curriculum team. The Outcome-Based Activity Curriculum is reviewed every academic year against early childhood research, parent feedback and observations from our centre heads. New activities, new books, new role-play themes and new festival-linked projects are added each year to keep the programme fresh.

  1. Teacher Training and Quality Audits

Every new teacher at Petals Kids goes through an induction led by Archana and her team. Existing teachers refresh skills each term. Centre heads submit monthly observation logs that Archana reviews. This is how we keep quality consistent across our Wakad, Balewadi, Ravet, Mahalunge, NIBM, Salunke Vihar and Kondhwa branches.

  1. Parent Voice and Feedback Loop

Parents at Petals Kids are not anonymous customers. Centre heads collect feedback continuously and escalate trends to Archana. Adjustments to schedules, communication formats, meal plans, or parent meeting cadence happen based on what parents actually need.

Why Founder-Led Matters in Preschool

Many preschool brands grow by selling franchises. Quality is hard to maintain when each branch is run by a different owner with a different background. Petals Kids has stayed founder-led on purpose. Every branch reports into the same office. Every teacher learns from the same training programme. Every curriculum update reaches every centre at the same time. When parents move their child from our Wakad branch to our Kondhwa branch because of a house shift, the routine, the methods and the standards stay the same.

  • Archana Khosla founded Petals Kids and continues to serve as Director
  • She personally designs the curriculum and trains every teacher
  • Petals Kids has not been franchised. Quality is centrally controlled
  • Centre heads escalate observations and parent feedback directly to her
  • Founder-led structure is the reason curriculum, teacher quality and safety standards stay uniform across all 10 centres

The Petals Kids Vision for Pune and PCMC

Pune and PCMC are home to a young, urban, professional workforce that is rewriting how Indian families approach childhood. Joint family support is rarer. Both parents often work. Children spend more waking hours outside the home than the previous generation did. Petals Kids was designed for this new reality: safe, structured, joyful spaces where children grow while parents work without guilt.

Recognition and Community Work

Beyond running Petals Kids, Archana speaks at parent education forums across Pune, contributes to early childhood publications and supports community initiatives for first-time parents. Her belief is that better-informed parents and better-trained teachers together raise stronger children. That belief continues to drive everything we do at Petals Kids.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Archana Khosla is the founder and director of Petals Kids School. She designs the curriculum, leads teacher training, conducts quality audits across branches and serves as the final point of accountability for academic and safety standards.

Yes. Every new teacher at Petals Kids goes through an induction led by Archana and her curriculum team. Existing teachers refresh their skills each term and centre heads submit monthly observations that Archana reviews directly.

No. Petals Kids is founder-led and not franchised. All 10 centres across Pune and PCMC operate under direct curriculum, teacher training and safety oversight from Archana Khosla and her central team.

The curriculum follows three principles: children learn fastest when they feel safe, play is the engine of learning at this age and parents must be partners. These principles are applied through the six-domain Outcome-Based Activity Curriculum.

Centre heads are the day-to-day point of contact at each branch. For specific curriculum or escalated concerns, centre heads coordinate a meeting with Archana or her senior team. Parents can request such a meeting through their branch.
