Playgroup at Petals Kids is where little ones take their first happy steps! Our play school in Pune is made for curious toddlers aged 1.5 to 2.5 years, and every day brings something new.
They wash their hands before snack, pack away their own toys and make their first friends. Action songs and picture books get them chattering, while sensory trays, colour sorting and simple puzzles keep little fingers busy. Stacking, climbing and pouring build strong hands and happy legs. Our main branch is Preschool in Wakad, where we run Playgroup, and four more branches across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad offer it too. Every day ends with a story, a goodbye song and plenty of giggles.

How your toddler grows in our play school

Every activity is built around one of five everyday skills.

Little voices, big conversations
Rhymes, action songs and picture books help toddlers move from pointing and copying sounds to single words and short phrases.

Look at me go: first steps to independence
Washing hands before snack, packing toys away and sitting in a circle give a toddler the feeling of “I can do it”.

Colours, shapes and sizes to touch and match
Sensory trays, sorting games and simple puzzles introduce colours, shapes and sizes as things to explore, not memorise.

Friends to play beside
Most two-year-olds play beside each other before they play together. Teachers guide turn taking and sharing in short group games, with no pressure to join in.

Climb, stack and balance
Climbing, stacking blocks, pouring and pushing build balance and hand strength, and prepare little fingers for holding a crayon.

A typical day at Petals Kids Playgroup

3. Activity stations:
Sensory trays, sorting games, puzzles and art materials are set out for small groups.

4. Snack and handwash:
Children wash their hands and eat together.

6. Handover:

What your little one can work towards

Every child grows at a different speed, so treat these as goals and not promises.

  • Clearer speech: Joins in songs and uses more words each month to ask for things.
  • More independence: Follows the routine, washes hands and packs toys away.
  • Stronger hands and legs: Climbs, stacks blocks and holds a chunky crayon.
  • Happier with friends: Plays beside others, takes turns and says goodbye with less worry.

Why choose Petals Kids?

1.One curriculum across every branch
All five branches follow the Outcome-Based Activity Curriculum, which builds language, numbers and thinking, motor skills, social skills and creativity together. The standard does not depend on which branch you pick, and a family that moves house can continue at another branch without academic disruption.

2. Play first, worksheets later
Playgroup has no worksheets. Sensory trays, sorting games, puzzles and picture books sit at the activity stations, so colours, shapes and early numbers arrive as part of play. Climbing, stacking and pouring fill the free movement time, and formal pre-writing waits until Junior KG.

3. Safety that parents can see
School staff receive children at the door, and visitors identify themselves before they enter. CCTV cameras cover designated areas, and staff hand children over only to parents or authorised guardians after verification. Children also wash their hands before snack time, which keeps the room clean and teaches a first self-help habit.

4. Daycare under the same roof when you need longer hours
Daycare runs at every branch, so working parents can pair a Playgroup batch with daycare at the same school and do not need to find a second one. Ask your branch about hours and seat availability.
